Painted Fire Red Cherry Neocaridina Shrimp

$24.99

10+1 Shrimp.

Red Cherry Shrimp (Neocaridina davidi) are the most popular variety of Neocaridina shrimp, and are the name sake of the term Cherry shrimp. The original morph of Neocaridina, these shrimp are characterized by their brilliant red coloration which varies from a bright apple red to a deep blood red.

Painted Fire Red is a specific grade of red shrimp. They derive their “painted” name from the racing stripe down their backs.

These hardy shrimp will breed prolifically in a wide variety of temperatures and water conditions, but are happiest between 70 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit, and above 6.5 pH. Please contact me if you wish to know the specific parameters these shrimp are being kept at.

Please be advised that multiple colors of Neocaridina shrimp kept together in the same tank will cause the shrimp to revert to their non-recessive “wild-type” coloration. If you wish for your shrimp to retain their color, it’s best to keep them isolated from other Neocaridina types.
