Snowball Shrimp (Neocaridina zhangjiajiensis) are freshwater Neocaridina shrimp related to the commonly kept Cherry Shrimp (Neocaridina davidi). These shrimp are distinguished by their clear to ghostly white appearance and their snow white eggs, which is where they derive their hobby name.
These are hardy shrimp who breed prolifically in a wide variety of conditions just like regular cherry shrimp. They can be kept in the same conditions and regular Cherries, but please be advised they will hybridize with Cherry shrimp to produce wild-type hybrids.
